Anvendelse af modellen som samtaleredskab

Denne artikel beskriver en forståelsesramme for psykedeliske oplevelser baseret på Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) og de seks psykologiske processer i Hexaflexen. Modellen giver behandlere en struktureret måde at forstå og arbejde med de psykologiske mekanismer, der kan aktiveres under og efter brug af psykedeliske stoffer. Mens psykedeliske oplevelser for nogle kan føre til øget psykologisk fleksibilitet, kan de for andre være destabiliserende og skabe angst, forvirring eller følelsesmæssige udfordringer. Det er vores håb, at ACT-baserede samtaleteknikker kan være et nyttigt redskab til at støtte integrationen af udfordrende oplevelser og genopbygning af psykologisk stabilitet.

Behandlere kan bruge Hexaflexen som en visuel og konceptuel model i samtalerne med unge, der har haft udfordrende psykedeliske oplevelser. De seks processer kan hjælpe med at strukturere samtaler om oplevelsens betydning, eftervirkninger og mulige integration i den unges liv. 

Behandlere kan med udgangspunkt i modellen spørge ind til følgende emner:

  • Kontakt til nuet: Oplevede den unge en følelse af nærvær, eller har oplevelsen skabt en forvirring omkring tid og rum?
  • Værdier: Har oplevelsen ført til nye refleksioner over, hvad der er vigtigt i livet, eller har den skabt værdimæssig usikkerhed?
  • Engageret handling: Har oplevelsen inspireret til meningsfulde forandringer, eller har den efterladt den unge med en følelse af stagnation og usikkerhed?
  • Selvet som kontekst: Har den unge haft en oplevelse af ego-opløsning, og hvordan har det påvirket selvforståelsen?
  • Defusion: Har oplevelsen bidraget til større frihed fra destruktive tankemønstre, eller har den skabt en problematisk distance til tanker og følelser?
  • Accept: Kan den unge acceptere og integrere oplevelsen, eller er der behov for støtte til at navigere i eftervirkningerne?

Særligt for unge, der har oplevet angst eller eksistentiel uro efter et psykedelisk trip, kan ACT-baserede teknikker hjælpe med at skabe accept, perspektiv og meningsfuld integration af oplevelsen. 

I integrationsarbejdet med den unge kan behandlerne blandt andet anvende mindfulness-øvelser for at styrke kontakt til nuet, arbejde med værdiafklaring for at reducere fremmedgørelse og anvende defusionsteknikker til at adskille selvet fra negative tanker uden at ignorere dem.

Samlet set tilbyder denne model en fleksibel og ikke-dømmende tilgang, der hjælper behandlere med at møde unge dér, hvor de er. Ved at integrere ACT-principper i samtaler om psykedeliske oplevelser kan behandlere skabe et trygt rum, hvor unge kan reflektere over deres erfaringer og finde veje til integration og stabilitet.
