Maja O’Connor is a Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, Aarhus University. In 2016, she founded the Research Unit for Grief, which she has led ever since. Maja has worked in grief research for more than 25 years, with a particular focus on grief in older adulthood and across the adult lifespan. She has published over 60 research articles and is a licensed clinical psychologist as well as a certified Specialist in Gerontopsychology. Her primary research interest concerns the identification and treatment of prolonged grief disorder in adults.
