Many career opportunities with a psychology degree

We train psychologists to perform a number of jobs in the public and private sectors. Many of our graduates work as psychologists in hospitals, in psychiatry and in the social and healthcare sector. Others have a career as practicing psychologists or organisational consultants in the private sector. You can also teach psychology at upper secondary schools and folk high schools or, in the long term, become a self-employed psychologist with your own practice. Collaborating with practice partners

The Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences regularly establishes partnerships with actors in the public and private sectors. We do this in the context of both education and research. We enhance education for our students by giving them an opportunity to apply their psychology skills in practice. And we aim to make our research more relevant and more applicable by collaborating closely with practice partners.   

Employer panels 

Employer panels at Aarhus BSS consist of representatives from private-sector and public-sector companies, organisations and institutions. Together, the members of the individual employer panels must have experience with, and insight into, the degree programmes and the labour market for which they are preparing graduates.  

Panel members are formally appointed by the dean of Aarhus BSS following joint recommendation from the programme and department management teams.
