Getting to Denmark is quite easy. Denmark is a peninsula in Northern Europe, which means you can go by car, bus or train from European countries or ferrys from other Scandinavian countries.

By car or bus
Aarhus is close to the E45 motorway which runs through Germany to Denmark so it is very easily accessible by car.

Various bus companies travel between European countries and Germany to Aarhus. One is Linie 888, which travels from Berlin, Hamburg and Flensburg directly to Aarhus. By train

By plane
There are flights from several destinations throughout the world to two airports very close to Aarhus. From both Billund and Aarhus Airport there are airport buses to Aarhus. If you arrive in Copenhagen Airport – the largest in Scandinavia – you can fly on to Aarhus Airport or you can travel by train or bus. It  is also possible to fly to Hamburg and take the train or bus to Aarhus.

Aarhus Airport
Situated less than a 40 minutes’ drive north east of Aarhus, Aarhus Airport has 10 daily flights to and from Copenhagen Airport. The air service is primarily operated by SAS and takes 35 minutes.
