The ISSDP Conference is a unique occasion to present your latest findings to an intellectually engaged, diverse and dedicated scholarly community, and to immerse yourself in the state of the art research across the full spectrum of drug policy research, with the participation of leading international scholars.
Researchers and/or practitioners interested in contributing scholarly papers that advance future thinking regarding the development, assessment, or evolution of drug policy nationally or internationally are encouraged to submit abstracts.
We invite abstracts on all aspects of drug policy but particularly on the conference themes. The conference themes this year include:
Other areas of drug policy research will be welcome, for example research on:
We accept original research, not previously published. This conference requires that all presenters submit a written paper (2,500-4,000 words) prior to the conference (which will be due on 6th April 2017) and will be made available to all delegates (password protected).
All submissions (papers, panels and workshops) are peer reviewed by the Scientific Committee and its members’ scores are used to then select the successful submissions. Those selected to present are required to register for the conference. Delegates may present only one paper.
This year, ISSDP invites three types of submissions: Papers, Panels and Workshops
The ISSDP strongly encourages early career researchers (defined as current PhD student or less than 5 years post PhD) to attend and participate in the conference. There is an annual award for the best early career research presentation at the conference.
Past winners can be found at: http://www.issdp.org/annual-awards/.
If you are an ECR, and would like your presentation to be considered for the award, please select the appropriate box on the submission form.
