Enhed for Søvn- og Døgnrytmepsykologi
Thursday 17 September 2026, at 09:00 - 16:00
How do the clocks inside our cells relate to the way we experience, organize, and share time in everyday life?
This one-day interdisciplinary symposium brings together perspectives from chronobiology, physiology, psychology, and the social sciences to explore how biological and lived time interact. Topics include circadian rhythms, timing of light, food and physical activity as zeitgebers, disrupted clocks in extreme environments, temporal experience across neurotypes, dementia, and societal rhythms.
The symposium is hosted by Professors Ali Amidi and Lisa M. Wu, the Sleep & Circadian Psychology Research Unit (SCaPE), Department of Psychology & Behavioural Sciences, Aarhus University, and supported by a grant from Independent Research Fund Denmark.
We look forward to a day of dialogue across disciplines on The Time of Our Lives.
