About the research team

SorgSkalaStudiet is run by the Unit for Bereavement Research, Department of Psychology, Aarhus University.

Unit for Bereavement Research

The Unit for Bereavement Research is the first of its kind in Denmark, and was established in 2016 with the aim of contributing to and promoting research on natural and complicated grief reactions in children, young people, adults and elderly.

The purpose of the unit is to:

  1. Contribute epidemiological research on natural and complex grief reactions
  2. Contribute research on evidence-based treatment methods to different types of complicated grief reactions.

We work closely with Det Nationale Sorgcenter (https://sorgcenter.dk/om-det-nationale-sorgcenter/ )
