    Associate professor Linda Polka from McGill University (Montreal, Canada) will present her recent research on infants' and adults' word segmentation in English and French. Dr.Polka is invited by professor Ocke-Schwen Bohn, and the lecture will be at the English department, building 1485 room 315, from 14.15-15.30. The title of Dr. Polka's talk is Language rhythms and speech segmentation.

    Postdoc Osman Skjold Kingo has been awarded Aarhus University Research Foundation's prestigious ph.d. award for his PhD dissertation Object Individuation and the Emerging Concept Formation in Infancy. The research includes little children's use of information about both appearance and function to keep track of objects in the world.
    The PhD award is each year given to promising young researchers who have finished their PhD education at Aarhus University the year before.

    Postdoc Lynn Ann Watson receives a grant from FKK (the Danish Research Council for Culture and Communication) for the project A forgotten field: Spontaneous memories during depression.

  • 18th November 2010:
    The conference Perspectives on Autobiographical Memory Development will be held 16th-17th June 2011. Read more. 

  • 26th October 2010:
    Professor Dorthe Berntsen gives the annual Eilert Sundt lecture at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Oslo University. Eilert Sundt is considered to be Norways first scientist within social sciences. The Eilert lecture has been an annual tradition since 1993, and every year Oslo University invites an acknowledged researcher within social sciences to give the lecture.

  • 12th October 2010:
    Visit by representatives from the Danish National Research Foundation for the first follow-up meeting since CON AMORE was launched 1st January 2010. The representatives from the Danish National Research Foundation were mainly interested in the startup process and the running of the center, and expressed their satisfaction with the process so far.
