It is a pleasure for us to announce that one of the leading figures in the psychology of religion, Professor David M. Wulff will visit Aarhus University on the 25th of October to assist in the assessment committee for Heidi Frølund Pedersen’s PhD Defense. Prior to the defense Prof. Wulff will give a public lecture on his newly developed Faith Q-sort methodology and its contributions to bringing religiousness/spirituality/faith into psychological research. He will discuss the challenges of cross-tradition and international comparisons in the use of the methodology. Furthermore results on faith prototypes and mental health will be presented.

Prof. Wulff is in particular known in the field of religion and psychology for his highly influencial handbook on “Psychology of Religion. Classic and Contemporary”. In the book he gives a substantial overview of the many different approaches to the psychology of religion that we have seen since the inception of the discipline around 1900. He also presents a framework for organizing and integrating the crucial insights from the different approaches.

The lecture is arranged in cooperation by The Research Unit for Integrative Psychology and Unit for Psychooncology and Health Psychology Research, Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, Aarhus University.
