Existential psychology is a theory on what it means to be an actor in one’s own life and having a sufficient grip on one’s own existence and that of the community. The application-oriented part of existential psychology consists of customised programmes in existential psychology, which aim to develop and form the general human existential competences - e.g. in primary and lower secondary schools through classes on citizenship, in the social psychiatry sector for young people at risk and in the preventive efforts towards radicalisation and juvenile delinquency.
