Author Guidelines

General guidelines for contributions to Journal of Anthropological Psychology

Texts must be in English.
Please add your name, title(s) and home university.

The target article must (in terms of its own specific topic) one way or another address the question of the particular human in the human psyche and its relations to the world.

All contributions to Journal of Anthropological Psychology will be subject to anonymous peer review.
Basically, there are two kinds of contributions: Target articles and comments. The details of the target article are discussed with the editor(s). Comments and discussion contributions must be in accordance with the guidelines mentioned below.

The text of a target article should not exceed 75,000 characters (excl. drawings, tables, references and blank spaces). Upon distribution for comments, the target article must not be subject to change, except for proof-reading. After receipt of comments, the author of the target article will write a reply. Subsequent discussion will be printed in later numbers of the Journal.
Target articles must contain an abstract of max 150 words.

Ideally, a comment must clearly deal with the topic of the target article, either by directly addressing the entire target article or part of it - and/or indirectly by elaborating on particular themes from the target article (in which case the author must clearly refer to the target article). Comments should not exceed 17,000 characters (excl. drawings, tables, references and blanc spaces). References to the target article should be stated as page references to the copy handed out for comments. References should be typed as: (p. *17) - please remember the asterisk as it is used for editorial finishing and then removed. Asterisks should only be used in this connection.

The editors will add the final layout to comments and discussion contributions. Comments will be listed in alphabetical order (author’s last name) according to other comments. Discussion contributions will be placed on the last pages of the journal.
