In the research project CanInfo, we have developed a leaflet and a video providing information about cannabis. The materials explain the body’s endocannabinoid system and its functions, describe how cannabis with THC affects this system, and outline what happens when a person stops using cannabis with THC after prolonged use.

The materials also include a research-based guide to managing a break or cessation from cannabis with THC, as well as practical tips for supporting and strengthening the functioning of the endocannabinoid system.

The materials were developed by researchers at the Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research at Aarhus University and has been revised through interviews with youth in Denmark who have experience with cannabis use. We have also received feedback from other researchers, substance use treatment professionals, and others with expertise in cannabis use and knowledge of the target group.
