Preregistrations -- records made a priori about study designs and analysis plans and placed in (open) repositories -- are thought to strengthen the credibility and transparency of research. The forms currently available often focus on quantitative work, and different types of information may be optimal for qualitative studies. I will talk about how preregistration can be relevant for qualitative research and discuss how we used a Delphi approach to develop a preregistration template for qualitative research.
